Horse Course Homeschool Horsemanship Classes
Rancho Condarco llc presents Horse Course, group horsemanship classes. This isn’t your usual riding school! Our group classes are dedicated to introducing and building a child’s skills in caring for, handling, and, eventually, riding horses in a fun, interactive environment. Our goal is to educate children using a natural horsemanship philosophy. This means that a relationship of respect, communication, and cooperation will be formed between the horse or pony and your child, the handler. Riding is the bonus.

Cost $35 a class ($100 per month, $285 per season)
Our homeschool classes are held on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 10:30 am – 2:00 pm for ages 6 & up. We take a 1/2 hour break around noon, so please bring a lunch to enjoy under our covered area. We will meet one day each week, 3 times a month. This allows for make-up days for inclement weather. We invite parents and younger siblings to watch. We give all students, and their younger sibs, complimentary handled ride at the end of each day.
All class days will include education in safety on the ranch and with the animals. Each day we will focus on specific areas of horsemanship awareness with plenty of activities. We will touch a little on the history, geography, and science of the horse. This is a child-led program, which means that each child will progress at their own rate and as their individual interests dictate. Some children may prefer spending more time in grooming or ground work and some may find themselves ready to begin taking the reins. We will determine when it is time for students to begin more focused riding lessons and create a plan to move forward with you both. (note: we only teach recreational western riding.)
